Leading Supersonica since 2001, Antonio has composed scores for countless movies and ads around the world. Films like “Lord of War”, “Collateral”, “City of God”, “Central Station”, “Lula, the Son of Brazil”, “Bald Mountain”, “Awake”, “Nine days”, and “Joe Bell”; documentaries like “Senna”, “Maradona” and the Academy Award winner “Amy”; series like “The Mosquito Coast”, “The Me You Can’t See”, “Dom” and “Under Pressure”. Antonio was also music director of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
Antonio won the WORLD SOUNDTRACK AWARDS for Best Original Score for “CITY OF GOD”; the Top Box Office Films’ for “Collateral”, and has been nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, for his partnership with Shakira in “Love in the Time of Cholera”. In his native Brazil, Antonio has won the ACIE Film Awards for “Lula, the Son of Brazil”; the Guarani Awards and Sharp Awards for “Central Station”, and Cine Ceará Awards with “À deriva” at.
